Mobile App

( project )

TOLK is a mobile application designed for seamless interaction between clients and service providers.

The application connects professionals, charitable organizations, and regular users, creating opportunities to address both everyday and professional tasks.

( project goals )

Create an application with unique map and charity features. The goal is to develop a clickable prototype for an investor presentation.

( research )

We started by studying the market and target audience to understand the key needs and lay the foundation for the app’s development. This research became the first step toward creating the product.

01

Competitor Analysis

Problems:
Low engagement in charity
Complex interface for finding orders
Needs:
Fast and geolocation-based task solutions

02

Target Audience Research

Discussion of their needs, identification of problems and functional requirements among potential clients and service providers

03

Understanding Interactions

We created user journey maps and process flows to understand how clients and service providers will interact with the application at each stage.

Insight

Anna, Client (Stay-at-home mom)

Looks for a nanny or house helper via acquaintances and local neighborhood chats.

Time-consuming, often has to manually verify experience.

Convenient search for specialists near her home. Availability of reviews.

A map with nearby specialists and ratings would inspire trust.

Ivan, Client (Entrepreneur)

Uses YouDo and similar apps for one-time tasks (couriers, repairs).

High platform commissions. Difficult to find specialists in urgent situations.

Quick access to nearby specialists without unnecessary costs.

A map with sorting by distance will ensure convenience.

Marina, Client (Young mother)

Uses local neighborhood chats to find specialists.

Inconvenient to check the quality of specialists’ work and track task completion.

An app with a transparent system of ratings and reviews.

Integrating reviews into specialists’ profiles will boost trust.

Sergey, Specialist (Repairman)

Works through YouDo, also accepts orders via recommendations.

High platform commissions. No motivation system.

Lower commissions, more orders nearby.

Opportunity to take orders via the map and participate in charity with bonus incentives.

Olga, Specialist (Tutor)

Finds students through personal recommendations and websites.

High competition. Difficulties in quickly finding orders.

Quick access to clients and a user-friendly interface for refining task conditions.

The availability of a chat for discussing tasks and a rating system will improve work comfort.

( identified hypotheses  )

( prototypes )

The development of prototypes began with analyzing scenarios and hypotheses to create a structure that reflects the needs of clients and service providers. We tested the functionality of the map, filters, and the “Good Deeds” section.

01

Creating Wireframes

Black-and-white layouts allowed us to focus on functionality without being distracted by the visual style.

02

Developing User Journeys

We considered the minimum number of steps needed to perform key actions, such as placing an order and selecting a specialist.

02

Prototype Testing

We tested the clickable prototype with the target audience to identify pain points and validate or refute hypotheses.

( hypothesis confirmation )

( design concept and mockups )

We developed a design concept based on the analysis of competitors and user needs. The concept combines minimalism, ease of navigation, and unique elements such as an interactive map and the “Good Deeds” section.

( results and advantages)

The created design concept became the foundation for the prototype, which we successfully presented to investors and used for final testing.

01

Convenience

The created design concept became the foundation for the prototype, which we successfully presented to investors and used for final testing.

02

Uniqueness

The “Good Deeds” section and the interactive map make the application stand out among competitors.

02

Preparation for Implementation

Final mockups are adapted for handoff to development, including all necessary element states.
